Delete your account & data

Delete it yourself (web, macOS, iOS, Android)

1. Open Carrot and sign in (the same account you want to remove). On the web, go to carrot.codes/app.
2. Open Settings (the gear icon — in the side rail on desktop/web, or the bottom tab bar on mobile).
3. Scroll to the Danger zone at the bottom of the Account section.
4. Choose Delete my account (removes everything) or Delete all my data (keeps the account, erases your content), type DELETE to confirm, and you're done.

The same control appears in the app on every platform, so you don't need to be on the device you signed up from.

What gets deleted

Delete my account permanently removes, immediately and irreversibly:

• your account and the sign-in identities linked to it (GitHub / Google / email);
• all your synced files and your workspace;
• every share link you created and any collaboration access tied to your documents;
• your GitHub connection (the stored access token) and your AI provider settings/key;
• all active sessions (you're signed out everywhere).

Delete all my data erases the files, shares, and connected-service settings above but keeps your account, leaving you with an empty workspace.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Disconnecting GitHub here removes the token Carrot stored; it does not change anything in your GitHub account, which you control separately. (Your code in your own GitHub repo, if you connected one, stays in your GitHub.)

Can't access the app?

If you can't sign in to delete your account yourself, email [email protected] from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll remove your account, workspace, and connections.

Data we keep

We don't run ads, analytics, or trackers, so there's no profile to delete. Transient security logs (such as rate-limit counters that include an IP address) are short-lived and auto-expire. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
